Introduction:

For English football fans, it was a moment of anticipation and excitement. Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Newcastle United all discovered their fate in what promised to be another thrilling season of European football. The draw, however, was anything but kind to these Premier League giants, as they found themselves pitted against formidable opponents in their respective groups.

Manchester United‘s Quest for Redemption: Group A

In Group A, Manchester United was drawn alongside European powerhouse Bayern Munich, Danish side Copenhagen, and Turkish giants Galatasaray. This group undoubtedly evoked memories of their historic 1999 final clash against Bayern Munich. Copenhagen and Galatasaray are no pushovers, making this group a formidable challenge for the Red Devils. If you would like to attend any Manchester United Champions League fixtures then contact us at enquiries@atmevents.co.uk and one our team will handle your enquiry.

Arsenal‘s Favourable Draw: Group B

Arsenal, on the other hand, found themselves in Group B, which seemed relatively more favourable compared to some other groups. The Gunners were drawn with Sevilla, PSV Eindhoven, and Lens. While Sevilla is the defending champion, they’ve undergone changes in their squad. Still, Arsenal can’t afford to underestimate any opponent, and they must bring their A-game to secure a spot in the knockout stages.

Manchester City‘s Path in Group G

Manchester City was placed in Group G, featuring German side RB Leipzig, Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade, and Swiss outfit Young Boys. This group presented City with an opportunity to secure a top spot, but they can’t afford complacency. RB Leipzig is a formidable opponent, and both Red Star Belgrade and Young Boys have the potential to cause upsets. Pep Guardiola’s side needs to navigate this group carefully. We have a selection of great packages available for you to attend a Champions League game under the lights at the Etihad this season. If you would like to attend you can browse our availability here.

Newcastle United’s Group of Death: Group F

For Newcastle United, their return to the Champions League came with a daunting challenge. The Magpies found themselves in Group F alongside Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, and AC Milan. This group is unquestionably a “group of death,” featuring some of Europe’s most storied clubs. While Newcastle might be considered the underdog, they’ll be hoping to defy the odds and cause some major upsets.

The Road Ahead

The group stage of the 2024 Champions League kicks off on September 19, 2023, and concludes on December 13, 2023. The top two teams from each group will progress to the knockout stages, where the real drama unfolds.

As football fans gear up for another thrilling season of European competition, the draw has set the stage for intriguing clashes, potential upsets, and unforgettable moments. While the road ahead may be tough for English clubs, the unpredictability of football ensures that anything can happen in the quest for Champions League glory.

England’s Euro 2024 Qualifiers: Clashes Against Italy and Malta

England Football Hospitality

Euro 2024

As the anticipation builds for the Euro 2024 qualifiers, football fans across Europe are eagerly awaiting the upcoming qualifying matches. England will be coming up against formidable opponents in Italy. The current European Champions beat England on penalties in the final back in 2021 at Wembley Stadium so England will be looking for revenge going into the Euros next season. England will also play Malta in November at Wembley Stadium in what should be an easier qualifying game. The qualifiers promise to be a great spectacle, offering fans a glimpse of the intense competition and talent that will be on display in the upcoming European Championships.

England vs. Italy: A Historic Rivalry Renewed

The clash between England and Italy is one that is steeped in football history. The two nations have faced each other numerous times on the international stage, creating a rivalry that transcends sport. From World Cup encounters to memorable European Championship matches, their battles have left an indelible mark on football history.

Both teams boast impressive squads full of talent, with star players who have proven themselves on both domestic and international fronts. England’s attacking prowess, combined with Italy’s renowned defensive resilience, sets the stage for a fantastic showdown. The tactical battle between managers, the emotional weight of history, and the desire to secure a Euro 2024 spot will all contribute to the drama of this encounter. If you would like to attend this game then contact us at enquiries@atmevents.co.uk.

England vs. Malta: Navigating the Underdog Challenge

While the England-Italy match hogs the limelight, the qualifier against Malta in November is equally significant. Such matches often present unique challenges, as the underdog team seeks to upset the balance and make a mark on the international stage.

Malta are the lowest ranked team in Group C so England will be hoping for an easy win. They have already beat Malta away from home in this qualifying group. Goals from Harry Kane and Alexander-Anold helped England to a 4-0 victory in Valletta in June this year. England will be hoping of a repeat of this score line when the teams face off at Wembley Stadium in November. If you would like to attend this game then contact us at enquiries@atmevents.co.uk.

England vs Australia: A Friendly Showdown

England will also face Australia in a warm up friendly for there key Euro Qualifier clash with Italy. The summer has been filled with England vs Australia in different sports. A drawn Ashes series in England. Followed by a thrilling Netball World Cup Final which sadly saw Australia crowned World Champions. Then who can forget the Lionesses beating Australia in Sydney to secure a place in the Women’s World Cup Final. Hopefully Octobers match vs the Socceroo’s will be just as exciting as this summer clashes against other sports teams. If you would like to attend this game then contact us at enquiries@atmevents.co.uk.

Premier League 2023/24 Predictions: Manchester City will reign supreme and an expected Relegation Battle

manchester city vs burnley4

[vc_row pix_particles_check=””][vc_column][vc_column_text]The New Season

The excitement is building as the Premier League gears up for another thrilling season of football action. With the dust barely settled from the previous campaign, fans, pundits, and players are all eagerly awaiting the twists and turns that the 2023/24 season might bring. As the new season kicks off, it’s time to delve into some predictions that are sure to spark debates and discussions among football enthusiasts.

Top 4: A Changing Landscape

The Premier League has always been known for its unpredictability, and this season is shaping up to be no different. While perennial powerhouse Manchester City seems poised to continue their dominance, the real story might just be the resurgence of some historical giants. Here’s how we see the top 4 panning out:

Manchester City: The Citizens have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in English football. With a squad brimming with talent, a brilliant manager, and a consistent track record, they’re the favourites to clinch the title once again. We have some fantastic packages available at the Etihad this season to see the Citizens potentially clinch a fourth consecutive title. If you would like to join us at the Etihad then send us an email at enquiries@atmevents.co.uk.

Arsenal: After coming so close last season Arsenal looks set to make a strong claim for the top of the table. A series of strategic signings and a renewed team spirit under their now experienced manager have propelled them into contention for a top spot. If you would like to join us at the Emirates to see the Gunners push for the title then contact us at enquiries@atmevents.co.uk.

Manchester United: While not as dominant as they were in previous eras, Manchester United still have the resources and fan base to secure a place in the top 4. Expect a fierce battle between United and Arsenal for that crucial second spot. Can the Red Devils push on under Erik Tan Haag and finally get back to previous ways? Join us at ATM Hospitality to find out!

Liverpool: After a below par 2022/23 season Liverpool will be looking to bounce back and claim a top four spot. Although their core team of exceptional players has changed slightly, they still have a star-studded team. Liverpool might not clinch the title again, but they’re likely to secure a Champions League spot. Although we have them to finish fourth you just never know with Liverpool. Klopp could lead them to another Premier League title! If you would like to join us at a game to find out then contact us at enquiries@atmevents.co.uk.

Relegation Battle: No Real Surprises Here!

The relegation battle is often as intense as the race for the title. This season, the lower end of the table promises to deliver some unexpected twists:

Wolves: After losing their manager on the eve of the new Premier League season the club has been thrown into turmoil. Can Gary O’Neil now keep the sinking ship a float? Who know… The lack of consistency and a few unfortunate injuries might see them struggle to maintain their Premier League status.

Sheffield United: After a fantastic effort to get promoted again the Blades have not had the best summer, losing two key players. Since their last Premier League stint he competition has only gotten tougher, and their lack of offensive firepower might cost them dearly.

Luton Town: Newly promoted teams often face an uphill battle, and unfortunately for Luton Town, this could be a season of struggle. While they’ll certainly give their all, the quality and experience of other Premier League squads might prove too much to handle.

The Unpredictable Nature of Football

It’s important to remember that football is a game where the unexpected is the norm. While these predictions are based on current insights and trends, the beauty of the sport lies in its ability to surprise us at every turn. As fans, we can only eagerly await the kick-off and watch the drama unfold over the course of the season.

Whether your team is fighting for the title, battling for a European spot, or trying to avoid relegation, the 2023/24 Premier League season promises to be a rollercoaster ride of emotions. If you would like to attend any games of this rollercoaster of a season then send us an email at enquiries@atmevents.co.uk with the game of your choice and one of our experienced team will handle your enquiry![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Emma Hayes ever dominant Chelsea side make it 3 Women’s FA Cup Final wins in a row!

[vc_row pix_particles_check=””][vc_column][vc_column_text]

Women’s FA Cup Final

The Women’s FA Cup Final in 2023 witnessed a monumental clash between two powerhouses, Manchester United and Chelsea. As a world record crowd filled Wembley Stadium, it was Chelsea who emerged triumphant, securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Manchester United. Let’s dive into the match highlights, with Sam Kerr stealing the show in the 68th minute.

The Game!

This was a great day for women’s football not just in the United Kingdom but globally, with 77,390 spectators making the trip to Wembley Stadium to watch the highly anticipated game. Manchester United were on top for a large section of the first half. Leah Galton had the ball in the back of Chelsea net only for it to be ruled out for offside. That was not the only big chance United had in the first half, with defender Millie Turner missing an opportunity midway through the first half which could have sent the Red Devils 1-0 and into control of the tie.

However, in the second half, the tide shifted in Chelsea’s favour. A well-executed attack saw Pernille Harder play an inch-perfect through ball to Sam Kerr. With her trademark clinical finishing, Kerr coolly slotted the ball past the Manchester United goalkeeper. Buoyed by their lead, Chelsea intensified their efforts to secure their advantage. Goal scorer Sam Kerr turned play maker to set up Chelsea’s Sophie Ingle, who somehow managed to miss, from in front of the penalty box she rocketed the ball into row Z when everyone in the stadium expected her to score!

On a momentous occasion at Wembley Chelsea were crowned champions in a hard-fought game against the only team who stand above them in the league. It was a pleasure to supply our clients with packages for this event. We are delighted to be partnered with Wembley Stadium to give attendees these fantastic experiences!

Unforgettable Moments: Recapping the Thrilling EFL Play-Off Weekend 2023

[vc_row pix_particles_check=””][vc_column][vc_column_text]The EFL Play-Off Weekend 2023 was a rollercoaster of emotions, packed with intense. cagey matches that kept fans inside Wembley on the edge of their seats. This weekend showcased the good, the bad and the ugly of the EFL. With two games going to penalty shoot-outs and one game delivering a last kick of the game-winner. Let’s dive into the unforgettable moments that made this EFL Play-Off Weekend truly exceptional.

Saturday saw Coventry City face Luton Town in the clash of two Championship underdogs. Jordan Clark scored first for the Hatters midway through the first half, Luton looked in control of the game up until the 66th minute when Gustavo Hamer equalised for the Sky Blues. From that point on the game could have gone either way with both teams having opportunities to win the game in 90 minutes as well as extra time. As the teams couldn’t be separated to penalties it went. After 11 perfect penalties, Fantaky Dabo rocketed his penalty over the cross bar to send Luton Town to the Premier League!

Less than 24 hours later Wembley played host to the League Two Play-Off Final. Carlisle took on Stockport County, and just like the championship game it ended 1-1 after extra time. Stockport took the lead and looked as if they were on the way to promotion, only to be pegged back with less than 10 minutes to go! So, the second game of the weekend headed to penalties, it was the one miss by Stockport’s Ryan Rydel that made the difference. Meaning Stockport would be spending another season in League 2 and Carlisle promoted to League 1 for the first time in 9 years!

Throughout this weekend of football, we had clients at all the three games. From Luton Fans enjoying sealing their promotion to the top flight in Club Wembley’s fantastic restaurant the Arc, soaking in all the atmosphere and enjoying the great food and all-inclusive drinks! To Sheffield Wednesday fans enjoying the hospitality in 120 Club as part of the Platinum Package, not only did they have incredible hospitality option they also got enjoy some of the best seats in the house. Here at ATM Hospitality, we are official hospitality partner with Wembley Stadium. So, if you would like to join us and experience the Wembley hospitality yourself for any future events at Wembley you are in great hands! Enquire at enquiries@atmevents.co.uk for all Wembley events!

In the final highly anticipated match, Sheffield Wednesday took on Barnsley, both teams left everything on the field. The game was tightly contested, with neither side willing to concede defeat. Even with 10 men, Barnsley fought hard to hold Wednesday back. As the clock ticked down, it seemed destined for a penalty shoot-out. However, in a major twist, with just seconds remaining in extra time, Josh Windass came up with a moment of magic. A perfectly timed run, a precision pass, and a Robin Van Persie esque header found the back of the net with 5 seconds of the game left!

After a fantastic weekend of football at Wembley it leaves us with one game of English football left for this season! The FA Cup Final, this weekend Manchester takes over the capital! The first ever Manchester derby in a FA Cup Final. We have limited packages* left for this showcase so be quick and enquire now at enquiries@atmevents.co.uk to grab yourself a last-minute package!
