The Dutch Grand Prix is a Formula 1® motor racing event held at Circuit Zandvoort in North Holland. It was a part of the FIA Formula One World Championship™ from 1952 to 1985 and from 2021 onwards. It was designated the European Grand Prix twice, in 1962 and 1976, when this title was an honorary designation given each year to one Grand Prix race in Europe. Circuit Zandvoort
Formula 1® first raced in the Dutch dunes in 1952, a debut marked by Alberto Ascari’s dominant victory and a Ferrari 1-2-3 finish. The Zandvoort circuit hosted F1® sporadically until 1985. After a 35-year absence, the sport was set to return in 2020, but the Covid-19 pandemic delayed its comeback to 2021, making it a 36-year hiatus.
