History of Westlife
Westlife formed in Sligo, Ireland, in 1998 and quickly achieved international success. Initially, the group was managed by Louis Walsh and later Simon Cowell. Their debut single, Swear It Again, reached number one in the UK in 1999. Consequently, they launched one of pop music’s most successful careers. The group has achieved 14 UK number-one singles and sold over 55 million records worldwide. Although Brian McFadden left in 2004, the remaining members continued releasing successful albums. Following a hiatus, Westlife reunited in 2018 with new music and arena tours. Today, they remain one of the world’s most beloved pop groups.
